DR GERALD POLLACK: The Science of Life in an Electric Universe
Perhaps you've already noticed that the Electricity of Life is rapidly emerging as a key theme within the EU movement. It was only months ago that we had the great pleasure of meeting the distinguished international authority on the electrical substructure of life, Dr. Gerald Pollack at the University of Maryland NPA conference.
Based upon decades of work by former scientific mavericks, Dr. Pollack's publication, Cells, Gels and the Engines of Life, is as pertinent today as it was when it was published in 2001. In this seminal work, he demonstrates how life leverages the water molecule's extreme dipolarity to make electricity do its bidding. His synthesis on this topic is bound to affect not just cell biology, but also big, heavy questions in science -- such as the origin of cancer; the evolution of life; the meaning of magnetic resonance imaging; how photosynthesis works; what it means to age; and even why animals can sense impending earthquakes. We should not be surprised if Dr. Pollack's work may even one day prove instrumental in building the first water-based quantum computer, or play a vital role in the creation of functional human-computer interface technologies. By resolving many of the outstanding problems in cell biology, the possibilities for interdisciplinary synthesis are virtually l
imitless.
A couple of months after meeting Dr. Pollack, I called to reintroduce myself, but he immediately interrupted me. "I'm now one of your group's biggest fans," he said. Seems he had no trouble discerning the connection between the Electric Universe and the field of bioenergetics, within which he has emerged as an internationally respected leader. Now he will be a featured presenter at our conference, ELECTRICITY UNIVERSE: THE HUMAN STORY, January 6-8 in Las Vegas.
(See also the scheduled talk by Robert Johnson, who has followed in Dr. Pollack's footsteps.)
DR. JAMES OSCHMAN: Human Metabolism Meets Cosmic Metabolism
Not long after our meeting with Dr. Pollack a professional psychologist in our circle recommended that we invite Dr. James Oschman to our Las Vegas conference, and the contact was made. The result: another distinguished figure in the field has joined the EU movement.
Dr. Oschman recognizes that the fabric of the body is largely composed of liquid crystalline arrays of helical semiconductor molecules, surrounded by helical liquid crystalline arrays of water molecules (Pollack). The fabric of space also appears to have a helical geometry (Ginzburg). An emerging field of vacuum biophysics recognizes that the interacting quantum vacuum may provide a pre-physical dimension of potentiality for the dynamic processes carried out by living things, e.g. morphogenesis, food into activity, thought and intention into action and movement, etc.
Biological applications emerge from the concepts in unified quantum field theories and the quantum theory of macroscopic collective phenomena, particularly biological coherence arising from the coherent spins of the water molecules. The concept and data of biological coherence recognizes that properties such superfluidity and superconductivity observed at very low temperatures should also occur in liquid crystalline systems that are very strongly excited and stabilized far from equilibrium as in laser light.
